The Sales Associate is responsible to help run day-to-day operations for this retail location. He/She may be required to open and close the center, help manage productivity and assure world-class customer service delivery of the team, monitor cost control and expenses, and contribute to weekly and monthly reports developed by the Center Manager. The Sales Associate is involved with profit/loss, continuous improvement, service delivery levels, and business development.
The ideal Sales Associate candidate has a high school diploma/GED (college coursework or degree desired), minimum of two year retail store operations experience, excellent computer/Internet/software knowledge, the physical ability to perform this job (lifting, bending, etc.), and knows how to listen, follow, lead, and help the Center Manager attain defined targets. He/She will have a dynamic personality, effective oral and written skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Assist customers with packing and shipping of items
Operate photocopy, binding and laminating equipment
Ring up sales on Point of Sale System
Help track customer packages
Provide outstanding customer service
Promptly learn each of The UPS Store printing and Freight product and service offerings in order to provide consultation to existing clientele and prospects
Obtain leading information on new product and service innovations in order to prepare for a new sales launch
Maintain a viable list of existing clientele
Call upon prospects in an organized and consistent fashion
Develop revenue targets and work to achieve those targetsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
