Construction Staff Engineer

Job Description
A Staff Engineer, will participate in our Construction Division Accelerated Development Program (CDADP). Staff Engineers rotate through office and project assignments in the following areas: engineering, estimating, supervision, field engineering, project controls, safety and equipment.
Essential Job Functions
Assist in project startup, field engineering, scheduling, contracts administration, safety, estimating, engineering of temporary structures, and auto-cad drawings for construction means and methods
Project submittal, preparation and review
Develop leadership and management skills
Follow company and work site safety policies/procedures and commits to an "Incident and Injury Free" work environment
0-2 years of experience with a Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or Coastal Engineering
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to work a 40 hour work week with additional hours as required by project
This position requires fluent use of the verbal and written English language
Experience with AutoCad, Solidworks, Primavera and HCSS Heavy Bid preferred
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crawl, stoop and/or sit.
Light lifting (Up to 20 lbs) as needed

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
